Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Northern Kentucky Eye Care Center the leading provider of vision care products and services in Fort Thomas.
Richard Schuck, O.D.
Dr. Schuck is a native of Indiana and received a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University. He also received his doctor’s degree from the University’s College of Optometry in 1971. He began practicing optometry in Newport in 1971, specializing in contact lenses.
Dr. Schuck is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Kentucky Optometric Association and the Southern Council of Optometrists – he served as president of the latter two organizations. He has also served as chair of the Northern Kentucky District Board of the Campbell Co. Board of Health.
Dr. Schuck is married and has three children. He enjoys golf and gardening in his spare time.
George Georgilis, O.D.
Dr. Georgilis is a native of Gary, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of science degree in biology and a doctorate in optometry. He began private practice in Southgate in 1979.
A member of the American Optometric Association and the Kentucky Optometric Association, Dr. Georgilis has gained the respect of other doctors in this region. He was elected president of the Kentucky Association in 1993-94 and has held offices with other professional associations.
Robert Sunderman, O.D.
Dr. Sunderman is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He completed clinical externships throughout Ohio, focusing on the diagnosing and treatment of ocular disease, contact lens fitting, and pediatric eye care. Dr. Sunderman earned his undergraduate degree at The University of Dayton where he majored in pre-med. While there, he played four years for the Flyers baseball team, winning an Atlantic 10 Championship and participating in the 2012 Division 1 NCAA Tournament.
Dr. Sunderman is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio where he attended Archbishop Moeller High School. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and volunteering in the community.
Dr. Sunderman is a proud member of the Kentucky Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is excited to be a part of our team here at the Northern Kentucky Eye Care Center.
Katlyn Lee, O.D.
Dr. Katlyn Lee is a native of central Illinois. She graduated with Honors receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Illinois State University. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry.
While at IUSO, she was a member of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and served on the executive board. She has participated in eye care mission trips traveling to Guanajuato, Mexico and Frome, Jamaica. Dr. Lee has a passion for volunteering and working with the pediatric population.
She is a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association and currently resides in Northern Kentucky. In her free time she enjoys running, reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
Dr. Lee is excited to be in Northern Kentucky.
